Ankaa (α Phoenicis) is the brightest star in the Phoenix constellation one of the 88 officially recognised constellations in the sky. It is a double star belonging to the spectral class K0, sitting roughly 85 light-years from Earth with a surface temperature of about 4,436 Kelvin.العنقاء (α Phoenicis) هي أبرز نجم في كوكبة فينيكس إحدى الكوكبات الـ 88 المعترف بها رسمياً في السماء. وهي نجم مزدوج ينتمي إلى الفئة الطيفية K0، يبعد حوالي 85 سنة ضوئية عن الأرض بدرجة حرارة سطحية تبلغ حوالي 4,436 كلفن.
Phoenix is a small constellation in the southern sky. It extends from approximately −39° to −57° in declination, and from 23.5 hours to 2.5 hours in right ascension.
